| WO# 10180, has an SPM fluid end with new expendables. 5x8 triplex well service pump. The fluid end was rebuilt with all new parts, including plungers, brass, packing, valves, seats and all gaskets. The power end was inspected and found to be in excellent condition. We reported this to the owner and he was planning to put the pump to work. The power end was cleaned and all lubrication lines and nozzles were made sure to be clear. The only thing that is questionable on this pump is the pinion gear of the gear reducer. It was worn substantially and we worked on this gear in the machine shop to make it as acceptable as we could. The owner looked at what we did and was OK with running this gear. In our opinion if you are going to put more than 1000 HP through this pump, we should buy a new gear. |
